Lamb and mutton – Lamb consumption is seasonal and is principally concentrated on religious holidays in Europe and in the Middle East. Eurofarm primarily markets Turcana, Tigaia from Romania and Merino from France and Spain. While the French and Spanish animals are fattened with excellent quality feed, resulting in a tasty pink meat, Romanian sheep are still kept under traditional circumstances, in herds grazed in a natural environment, under the supervision of a shepherd.
